Mark Muldoon is running for Councillor to sustain the rural quality of life that brought us here.
What Mark is fighting for
Farms, forests, and open land are the reason people move here and the reason so many refuse to leave. Growth has to respect that.
Careful, transparent budgeting so property taxes stay predictable and the services residents rely on stay solid.
Council, staff, and residents working together, not past each other. The best decisions come through active listening.
Meet the candidate
Mark and Donna moved to Metchosin in 2007, drawn by the beauty of the district and the volunteer network that quietly holds it together. Nearly two decades in, that's still the reason he's here, and the reason he's running.
Mark's career has been spent in small budgets and small communities. First in Victoria's non-profit sector, with adults leaving prison, and later with young people at risk of homelessness, and since 2018 with the B.C. Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills, alongside small communities and First Nations governments across the province. He volunteers with the Metchosin Emergency Program, in the Communications unit.
